Westminster firefighters extinguished an apartment fire Thursday night that injured one person.
Paramedics treated one person at the scene of the fire on the 7000 block of Hooker Street.
The blaze broke out in a two-story duplex in the laundry room of one of the apartments at about 8:10 p.m., according to a news release by the Westminster Fire Department.
The fire was extinguished within 12 minutes after firefighters arrived at the scene.
One family was displaced because of smoke, fire and water damage. No firefighters were hurt.
The fire is still under investigation.
The news release warned people that in the event of a fire to “get out, stay out.”
