Aurora police have taken a student into custody Tuesday morning as part of an investigation into threats made against another teen who attends Hinkley High School.
Officer Diana Cooley said the undisclosed threat stemmed from an altercation involving one of the two students on Monday.
Hinkley was briefly placed on lockdown for about 30 minutes as police investigated, an Aurora Public Schools spokeswoman said.
Cooley said further information on the case, including if the suspect attends Hinkley, was not immediately available.
Police declined not elaborate on the nature of the threat.
“There are still students being interviewed,” Cooley said. “They are still investigating.”
