1 Adult swim. On Dec. 25, an employee of the Courtyard Denver West, 14700 W. Sixth Ave. Frontage Road, Golden, reported that a woman, who was not a hotel guest, would not get out of the indoor pool when asked. The employee said the woman was in the pool with all of her clothes on and when told to get out, she replied “I won’t be long.” She was gone before police arrived.

2 Bank machine damaged. An automated teller machine at FirstBank, 29240 U.S. 40, Evergreen, was reported damaged Dec. 28. A bank worker said the screen was cracked and that it must have happened sometime between Dec. 24-28.

3 Wife defends ex-wife. A man was arrested Dec. 27 in the 30000 block of Upper Bear Creek Road, Evergreen, for assaulting his ex-wife, who was at his residence, along with a woman described as his wife, and a friend. The man got into an argument with his ex-wife and ordered her to leave, pushing her toward the door. His wife defended the woman using physical force.

4 Threats, scratches at the door. A resident of the 600 block of Washington Ave., Golden, reported hearing verbal threats outside his apartment door Dec. 30. When he opened the door, nobody was there, but another neighbor pointed out an “X” scratched into the door above its lock.

5 Attempted car theft thwarted. A resident of the 200 block of Lookout View Court, Golden, reported Dec. 27 that someone attempted to break the door handle and lock on his truck as it was parked in his driveway. He thought the thief left when he went outside to check on a noise.
