An El Paso County man was sentenced Friday to 48 years in prison for his role in a prosecutors say.
Michael “Popeye” Malory, 60, of second-degree murder in October after he by a jury in May of the more serious allegation of first-degree murder, court records show.
Daniel Baird, 37, was killed in May 2014, and his body was found in Malory’s Security-Widefield home.
Malory is one of three men accused in Baird’s slaying.
Brian Springsted was convicted of first-degree murder in the case, and Nathan Varnadore pleaded guilty to an accessory charge.
Springsted is serving life in prison without parole.
