Steelers linebackers coach and former Colorado State star Joey Porter was fined $10,000 for his role in sour ending to the wild-card game against Cincinnati on Jan. 9.

Porter, who was on the field late in the game, was said to have instigated an altercation with Bengals cornerback Adam Jones in the waning seconds of Pittsburgh’s wild-card victory.

All told, four players and two coaches were fined, and Cincinnati linebacker Vontaze Burfict was suspended for the first three games of the 2016 season for his actions.

The two teams previously racked up nearly $139,000 in fines for their volatile matchup in mid-December, bringing the total cost in fines and lost salary for the two games to $725,508.

But the damage didn’t stop there.

Burfict’s hit on Antonio Brown in the fourth quarter of last weekend’s game forced the Steelers receiver out of Sunday’s game at Denver because of a concussion.

Burfict’s hit on Ben Roethlisberger earlier in the game left the Steelers quarterback with in his shoulder. He is questionable for Sunday’s game.
