The Broncos scored on TV, too. The telecast of the Broncos-Steelers playoff game scored predictably ginormous ratings in the winning team’s home state: Colorado sets were tuned to CBS4. Nationally, it was the highest-rated AFC divisional playoff game in 21 years, CBS said, as well as the highest-rated game of the 2015-16 season on any network in the metered markets.
The averaged an 83 share of total households and an 84 share of adults 25-54. That means 83 percent of households watching TV in this market were watching the game.

Afterward, during the 6 p.m.hour, the station averaged a 24 rating/39 share in total households, and in the adults 25-54 demo (the standard news audience) the average was a 14 rating/33 share.
Nationally, Sunday’s game did better than last year’s Indianapolis-Denver game. It scored an average overnight household rating/share in the metered markets of 26.2/44, up +3% from last year’s 25.4/41.
The national ratings peaked at a 29.7/46 at 5:30-6:00 p.m. local time.
