
1 Drunken man foiled by fence. An intoxicated man told police he’d been drinking and doing cocaine all night before catching his pant leg on top of a chain-link fence at the Ralston Water Treatment Plant, 6750 Dunraven St., Arvada, on Jan. 1. The man hung upside down for 20 minutes before a city employee cut him loose and held him for police. He was arrested for felony trespassing, drug possession and DUI.
2 Vape pen brawl. A trio of men waiting to pump gas Dec. 31 at the King Soopers at 9731 W. 58th Ave. in Arvada began arguing with a man sitting in a Nissan Xterra who had mocked the way one of the trio was smoking a vape pen. One of the men later admitted to police he punched the victim through the window because “he wouldn’t stop running his mouth.”
3 Cleaning crew theft. Employees of Golden Industrial Supply at 5849 Tennyson St. in Arvada reported to police Jan. 5 that a black Harley Davidson jacket, $12 cash and a Rug Doctor machine were missing from the business. Police traced the stolen items to a member of the overnight cleaning crew.
4 Hit-and-run. A woman was issued multiple violations Jan. 4 after she backed out of her driveway in the 6200 block of Depew Street in Arvada and hit a neighbor’s car before leaving the scene to go shopping at King Soopers.
5 Woman arrested for domestic violence. Police arrested a woman Jan. 4 in the 8700 block of West 63rd Place in Arvada after she attacked her husband after finding out he’d been sleeping with her brother’s girlfriend.
