Mayor Michael Hancock has declared Jan. 22 Orange Friday in the city as the Denver Broncos prepare for the against the New England Patriots.

The city will host a fan rally Friday in Larimer Square downtown from noon to 1:30 p.m., the city said in a news release.

“apountry is hungrier than ever for another AFC Championship and Denver will be back out in orange to cheer on our Denver Broncos,” said Hancock, who . “So break out your jeans and jerseys one more time because the march to the Super Bowl continues, and our fans have their back every step of the way.”

The fan rally will include team alumni, the Denver apheerleaders, Miles the Mascot, Thunder, and the Stampede, according to the news release from the city.
