Lupe Fiasco will perform at the Ogden Theatre on Sunday.

Fruition, Lupe Fiasco and T.I. are our picks for the best shows in Denver this week. See you there, and if you don’t make it out, follow our music musings on and our selfies on . Oh, we have a Snapchat, too. Our name is HeyReverb. Hit us up.

Fruition — Jan. 22-23, Cervantes’ Masterpiece

With little more than wood, steel and their voices, string bands can whip up a dance party on par with any fledgling DJ. When that band is Fruition and supported by California Honey Drops, that goes double. After sharpening their chops in Portland, Fruition has spread its harmony-packed bluegrass across the country via rigorous touring and a Kickstarter-funded debut. The Califronia Honeydrops are less tied to any-one traditional sound, swirling soul and funk into a shade of party-time that could shake even the most stubborn curmedgeon into a tizzy. Catch them both at Cervantes’ Masterpiece on Jan. 22-23. Tickets: $15-$30 via cervantesmasterpiece.com.

Lupe Fiasco — Jan. 24, the Ogden Theatre

Lupe Fiasco has a long history of playing the prig to fellow rappers, fans and even the President: In 2013, his performance at an unofficial inaugural ball was cut short after he interuppted the set to voice his criticisms of Obama. Since that fiasco, the rapper has been anything but silent, releasing two albums and plotting another three for 2016 alone. Why the sudden burst of creativity? The third album of his upcoming trio will purportedly . He’s threatened to retire before, but you really never know with this guy. Catch him while you can at the Ogden Theatre on Jan. 24. Tickets are $25-$30 via axs.com.

T.I. — Jan. 24, The Gothic Theatre

What’s sweeter than watching the Broncos beat the Patriots to make it to their eighth Super Bowl? Seeing T.I. play a after party immediately afterward. T.I.’s stock as a rapper has fallen since his eleven-month stint in prison, but provided Manning does pull off a heroic win in what’s surely his last face-off with quasi-nemesis Tom Brady, Denver will turn the rapper’s Gothic Theatre show into a legalization-level party. Tickets: $25-$45 via .
