A Westminster man has been charged for the fatal shooting of Alexander Maurice Denning on Jan. 16, according to a news release from the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
District Attorney Dave Young charged Corey Forrest Dean with one count of second-degree murder Friday in Adams County.
A preliminary hearing has been set for 9 a.m. March 4.
Dean allegedly shot Denning in the chest at his Westminster apartment on Sheridan Bouldevard. He was later declared dead at Denver Health Medical Center.
Dean was arrested the night of the shooting, according to Westminster Investigator Kate Kazell.
