All of Pine Creek’s athletic programs have been put on restriction by the Colorado High School Activities Association, according to The Gazette.
The Eagles in Colorado Springs initially were thought to have just their football and wrestling programs facing sanctions, but all 22 sports are being perused.
Principal Kolette Beck refused comment earlier in the week and referred all questions to District 20 public information officer Nanette Anderson. Athletic director Matt Mahan did not return phone calls.
The football and wrestling programs were being investigated for possible recruiting violations, but all sports have been placed under the state microscope.
With playoffs looming next month, Pine Creek winter programs must display to the CHSAA that it is changing for the better in terms of how they operate in order to be eligible.
