1 No receipt, no peace. On Jan. 10, a woman called Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies to Exhale E-Cigarettes, 8966 W. Bowles Ave. in the Littleton area. The woman said a customer tried to return an item without a receipt and became angry when she would not accept it. In his rage, he damaged some other items.

2 Suspicious incident in hot tub.A man called deputies on Jan. 12 to his home in the 8000 block of West Walker Drive, Columbine (Littleton). The man said he and his wife were in the hot tub and, after a short amount of time, became nauseous and felt a burning sensation in their lungs. Deputies suggested they get the water tested.

3 Mailbox destroyed.A man called deputies on Jan. 11 after a truck drove onto his lawn and destroyed his mailbox in the 7000 block of West Fremont Avenue, Columbine (Littleton). A neighbor witnessed the incident and noted that a teen got out of the truck to assess the damage and then drove away.

4Drivers argue. On Jan. 11, a deputy witnessed an argument between two drivers at Wal-mart, 8196 W. Bowles Ave., Columbine (Littleton). The deputy noted the drivers were honking at each other and approached each other after leaving their cars. One accused the other of running a stop sign. He, in turn, called the other a “maniac.” The deputy calmed them down and they apologized.

5 Screaming, possible gunshots reported. On Jan. 14, an anonymous caller told deputies she heard screaming and what she thought were gunshots in the 8000 block of South Wadsworth Court in the Littleton area. The deputy learned there had been a domestic dispute.
