Getting your player ready...

Through Saturday. Colorado isn’t internationally known for its film scene, but it has produced or played home to a number of rising players over the years — many of whom got their start or screened work at events put on by Denver’s Emerging Filmmakers Project. The same eclectic programming that has welcomed comedy directors the Nix Bros. and Oscar-winning documentarian Daniel Junge returns through Jan. 30 with EFPalooza, featuring more than 45 local filmmakers with screenings and audience Q&As. All proceeds from the event go toward renovating the Bug Theatre, where the festival takes place. Various times and showings at 3654 Navajo St. $10-$25. .
