DENVER NUGGETS AT INDIANA PACERS
When: 5 p.m. Saturday
TV/Radio: ALT; 950 AM
Spotlight on Myles Turner:
Few rookies have had a greater impact on their teams than the athletic, shot-blocking Turner. And few teams should be more aware of this than the Nuggets. Turner is averaging 19.7 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.5 blocked shots in his past six games, and is shooting 62.2 percent from the field in that span. Turner started this run of stellar play against the Nuggets on Jan. 17. He had the first 20-point game of his career that night, finishing with 25 points, seven rebounds and two blocked shots.
DENVER VS. INDIANA NOTEBOOK
Nuggets:
Joffrey Lauvergne hasn’t been able to play in the past two games because of a toe injury but is on the road to recovery. He went through his warm-up before the game in Washington on Thursday, and though he said he was still unable to play, he felt better than he did Wednesday. If he can get through the shootaround Saturday, he may be available to play against the Pacers.
Pacers:
They won their last game, against Atlanta, but overall have hit a rough patch with losses in six of their past eight games. This is the third game in a four-game homestand for Indiana. Rodney Stuckey probably won’t play against the Nuggets because of a sprained right foot and bruised bone. He has missed eight consecutive games.
