The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect impersonating a police officer on Friday, officials said.

The sheriff’s office was told a male suspect was pulling people over in the town of Rush in the eastern portion of El Paso County, according to an El Paso County Sheriff’s Office news release.

The suspect is described as a male, driving a 2000 green Jeep Cherokee with a red bubble on the top of the vehicle.

Anyone with information that may lead to the identification of a suspect is asked to contact Deputy Mark Meyer at 719-390-5555.
