Trevor Powers, the electronic producer/performer behind Youth Lagoon, has decided to disband his seminal indie project, he announced today via Twitter.
The decision stemmed from the “isolated & solitary spectrum” that Youth Lagoon’s music inhabits:
it is a space i no longer inhabit, nor want to inhabit. youth lagoon is complete. i’ve reached the top of a mountain, only to then be able to see a much larger one i want to ascend.
