Denver Nuggets guard Will Barton was invited to participate in the NBA’s slam dunk contest taking place Feb. 13 as part of NBA All-Star weekend in Toronto, the team announced Thursday.

Barton, 25, will take on Detroit’s Andre Drummond, Orlando’s Aaron Gordon and defending slam dunk champion Zach LaVine of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Barton is averaging 15.5 points per game, six rebounds, 2.3 assists and close to 30 minutes in play time, all career-highs for the fourth-year man out of Memphis.

He is the seventh Denver Nugget selected to the slam dunk contest following Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf, Robert Pack, Darvin Ham, Chris “Birdman” Andersen, J.R. Smith and Kenneth Faried.
