GREELEY — The man Greeley police shot and critically wounded Jan. 25 was booked into Weld County Jail Tuesday on a December charge of escape from felony conviction.
, 27, advanced on officers with a knife when they tried to arrest him during a disturbance call. Before shooting him, officers used stun guns, but they were ineffective, according to Greeley police.
Police were called to the home about a drunken man causing a disturbance.
Perez was wanted on arrest warrants for felony assault and escape out of the Department of Corrections.
