Friday-Sunday. Loveland would seem like the obvious place to throw a big Valentine’s Day-themed event, but the “Sweetheart City’s” second annual Fire & Ice Festival isn’t simply coasting on its warm and fuzzy name. The free, family-friendly fest, which last year drew 25,000 people, will feature live ice sculpting, fireworks, carriage rides, fire performers, a car show, music, food and drink, and kid’s activities (a carnival, a visit from “Harry Potter” actor Seamus Finnigan, etc.). The event, which bills itself as the country’s largest Valentine’s Day shindig, runs 5-10 p.m. Feb. 12 and 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Feb. 13-14. 800-980-4155 or .
