1 Doorway battle. An ex-boyfriend of a woman who lives in the 15100 block of East Louisiana Drive showed up to her home Jan. 30 and wanted to fight her new boyfriend, who was at the house. The two started fighting and tumbled into the living room. The ex knocked the new boyfriend out, and the woman called police after he fled the scene.

2 Revenge theft. A former employee of the Zumiez at 6155 S. Main St. went into the store Jan. 27 and stole a $150 watch from the locked case. The manager of the store knew the suspect because she had fired him for theft. The suspect said he stole the watch because he was angry at the manager.

3 Stolen meds. Police were called to the 3700 block of South Ceylon Way because a woman said that her prescription anxiety medication was stolen Jan. 28. The victim suspects that friends of her roommate took it.

4 No cash back. An employee at the Best Buy at 13801 E. Mississippi Ave. called police Jan. 29 because a woman tried to buy a pack of batteries with a fake $100 traveler’s check and get the change back. She left the store when she was asked for her ID.

5 Fake warrants. A woman called police Jan. 30 because someone pretending to be from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office called her home in the 6500 block of South Blackhawk Way and said they had a warrant for her arrest. The caller was a scammer.

6 Grab and go. The owner of a liquor store at 566 N. Dayton St. called police after a man came in, grabbed a case of beer and ran out of the store Jan. 29.
