Through Saturday. Since 1985, Aspen has hosted a winter comedy festival in and around the stately Wheeler Opera House. And while the Aspen Laff Festival is nowhere near the event that HBO’s star-studded U.S. Comedy Arts Festival was, it still provides reliable laughs in a gorgeous, rarified setting. This year’s sixth annual Laff Fest, which began Feb. 18 with improv from The Second City, features performances from stand-ups Heather McDonald and Gilbert Gottfried (Feb. 19), and Steve Byrne and Pete Holmes (Feb. 20) at the Wheeler, with various support acts. Individual shows are $35-$45, day passes are $55 and weekend passes are $125. 7 p.m. each night at 320 East Hyman Ave. Tickets: or 866-449-0464.
