Denver Police are looking into an accident involving a car and a motorized wheelchair Saturday afternoon.
Police responded to a call from Broadway and Speer Boulevard at around 3:20 p.m. The victim, a 45-year-old woman, was transported to a hospital for serious injuries, said Doug Schepman, a spokesperson for the Denver Police Department.
Schepman said the victim entered the crosswalk toward the end of the traffic light cycle. The light changed before she finished crossing. That’s when she was struck.
