Undefeated Monarch heads the ice hockey state-playoff bracket that was released on Sunday.
The Coyotes head a 16-team field after posting an 18-0 mark.
Regular power Regis Jesuit (18-1) is the No. 2 seed.
The field also contains Cherry Creek, the defending champion that beat Dakota Ridge 3-2 in six overtimes in last year’s semifinals, then needed three overtimes to down Monarch 3-2 in the title game. The Bruins are seeded fourth.
There are only 30 teams in the state, but more than half advanced to the playoffs.
The first two rounds will be Friday and Saturday.
