ELLICOTT, Colo. (AP) — Schools in a small district east of Colorado Springs are back open Tuesday after authorities concluded that there’s no longer a threat against them.
Classes were cancelled in Ellicott School District 22 Monday after someone posted a threat on the After School app late Sunday in a message board for district students. No other details have been released about the threat.
Lt. Greg Maxwell of the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office told The Gazette (http://bit.ly/1QvKdj7) that investigators are closing in on the suspects.
The app is targeted at teens as a way to post their feelings, experiences and secrets while remaining anonymous. However, users are required to sign up using their Facebook account.
