1 Car split in half. An officer sitting in his patrol car Feb. 4 saw a silver Lexus traveling 60 mph blow through a red light at West Fifth Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard in Lakewood, hitting a gold Buick so hard it sheared of the entire read end of the vehicle. The driver was arrested for DUI.

2 Indecent exposure. A customer leaving the King Soopers at 7984 W. Alameda Ave. in Lakewood on Feb. 3 saw a man masturbating inside his car in the public parking lot. She photographed the vehicle license plate and called police, who found the man and ticketed him for public indecency.

3 Ex-husband troubles. A man who saw his ex-wife driving in the 200 block of South Wadsworth Boulevard in Lakewood on Feb. 5 sideswiped her vehicle with his truck, then got out and punched her window. He was arrested.

4 Car meets crowbar. A woman reported to police Dec. 24 that her boyfriend of four months had been drinking and becoming increasingly suspicious. He walked outside with a crowbar and smashed her vehicle windows in a parking lot in the 1600 block of Eaton Street, Lakewood. Police could not locate the suspect after he fled on foot.

5 Roommate dispute. Police arrived at an apartment in the 1300 block of Allison Street in Lakewood on Feb. 3 to find a ransacked apartment. The tenant told police his roommate of two weeks was an alcoholic who became enraged when asked to move out and began breaking items. He was issued a criminal mischief summons.
