In Grand Junction, coach Rudy Carey watched Jack Buckmelter finally break out. The senior guard went for 37 points, including 16-of-20 free throws. The Angels, runners-up a year ago, moved to 17-8. The host Tigers ended 17-7.

EAGLECREST 66, HIGHLANDS RANCH 50


In Centennial, the Raptors moved to 22-2. Highlands Ranch ended 11-14.

REGIS JESUIT 65, FORT COLLINS 49


In Aurora, Michael Wambsganss had 19 points, Geoff Kelly 16 and Dante Drennan 15 as the Raiders pulled away late. Regis Jesuit is 21-3. Fort Collins finished 16-9.

RANGEVIEW 63, CHAPARRAL 26


In Aurora, the Raiders shook off a slow start to remain 5A’s only undefeated team (24-0). The Wolverines finished 9-16.

ARVADA WEST 56, GRANDVIEW 54


In Aurora, University of Colorado recruit Dallas Walton (15 points, 10 rebounds) and Will Whitman (14 points, 10 rebounds) carried the Wildcats to a 17-8 mark. The Wolves finished 13-11.

CHEROKEE TRAIL 78, PALMER 67


In Aurora, the Cougars improved to 18-6. The Terrors finished 14-11.

LEGEND 68, FOSSIL RIDGE 46


In Parker, Monroe Porter (17 points) and Andre Hogan (11) helped the Titans move to 19-5. The SaberCats finished 17-8.

BOULDER 48, FNE WARRIORS 45 OT


In Boulder, the Panthers rode 24 points by Landon Taliaferro to advance to 18-6. The Warriors ended 18-7.

DOHERTY 78, LAKEWOOD 69


In Colorado Springs, the Spartans’ B.J. Hardy (23 points), Dalven Bushier (21) and Brevin Brimble (15) led the way. Doherty is 21-3. Lakewood finished 15-10.

ROCK CANYON 58, ARAPAHOE 44


In Highlands Ranch, the Jaguars used a 25-12 scoring edge in the fourth quarter to move to 20-3. Arapahoe finished 58-44.

THUNDERRIDGE 67, ABRAHAM LINCOLN 50


In Highlands Ranch, Corey Seng and Clay Verk (16 points each) and Troy Brady (10) carried the Grizzlies (21-3). The Lancers finished 15-10.

CHERRY CREEK 68, RAMPART 40


In Greenwood Village, the Bruins (15-9) used a 20-3 first-quarter scoring edge to take the Rams (17-8).

CHATFIELD 78, AURORA CENTRAL 71


In Littleton, the Chargers (22-2) used a 29-16 early binge to hold off the Trojans (18-7).
