Brighton police on Friday sought the public’s help in finding a burglary suspect who allegedly stole firearms from a police officer’s home.
The suspect was identified as Gerald Duane Havens, 30, according to a Brighton Police Department media release.
Havens is described as a white man, 6-feet tall and about 175-pounds, with brown eyes and shaved or close-cropped brown hair.
Police said Havens is homeless and may be staying in Denver or Lakewood with friends.
“Havens is armed, and may pose a threat if confronted,” the release said.
Anyone who sees Havens, or knows his whereabouts is asked to call 911. Information can also be left with Det. Michael Payne, 303 655-2367.
