A warm weekend could transition to a rainy Monday with a slight chance of snow that evening in Denver, forecasters said.
On Saturday, the metro area is expected to be mostly sunny with a high of 69 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Along the plains, winds could reach up to 35 mph with some higher gusts, so forecasters warn of elevated fire danger.
In the mountains, temperatures should hover in the mid 30s to lower 40s, forecasters said.

Monday could get a little wet as a cloudy day lends itself to a 50 percent chance of rain in the metro area and a high near 59 degrees. As temperatures drop in the evening, there is a slight chance the rain could turn to snow.
The mountains will likely receive snow showers Monday as a weather system moves slowly across the state.
