
More than 20 people have submitted their applications to fill a vacancy on the Denver Public Schools board of education.
The vacancy was created last month when citing his wife’s health issues and a move out of the city into Aurora.
The deadline to submit applications was Friday afternoon. The names of 22 candidates and their resumes are .
Under state law, the board gets 60 days to choose a successor.
The district has tentatively scheduled the final vote to select a new board member for April 12.
A variety of community meetings are scheduled before that vote including one at 5:30 p.m.Tuesday at the Evie Dennis Campus, 4800 Telluride Street.
