Getting your player ready...
Gabe Landeskog
As I mentioned was likely in the Thursday morning , the NHL indeed is taking a hard look at Avalanche captain Gabe Landeskog’s (or side of the head, depending on your interpretation) of Anaheim’s Simon Despres Wednesday night at the Pepsi Center.
The NHL Department of Player Safety announced Thursday that it would conduct a hearing with Landeskog, and a decision presumably could come later Thursday or more likely Friday, when the Avalanche is scheduled to practice and then travel to Winnipeg for Saturday’s game against the Jets.
Working against Landeskog is he previously was suspended for two games in November for a hit to the head of Boston’s Brad Marchand.
