Marco Pappa smoked a volley past Los Angeles Galaxy goalkeeper Brian Rowe in the 95th minute of the Colorado Rapids 2016 home opener Saturday, .
The late goal continued a trend for the Rapids from last season — nearly 40 percent of the team’s goals in 2015 came in the final fifteen minutes of the game.
Fighting hard to the end again, second-half substitute Marco Pappa sent the fans home happy with a full volley strike, capitalizing on a late missed clearance by Galaxy defender Daniel Steres.
