Denver police caught and arrested a male robber who led them on a chase through Lakewood Sunday afternoon.
After the robbery, police in vehicles chased the suspect briefly but called off the chase for public safety reasons, Denver Police spokesman Tyrone Campbell said. “Public safety is our main concern.”
No information on his identification was available, nor could police provide details on the robbery, Campbell said.
The robber initially fled through Lakewood. A vehicle was abandoned at Lakewood’s south edge, Campbell said.
Denver police launched a search in that area “and he was arrested during that search.”
