
1 Target traitor trapped. A loss prevention specialist watched another employee who was off the clock but shopping at the Target store at 1950 E. County Line Road, Highlands Ranch, hide two shirts under a jacket in her cart and leave without paying for them March 1. She came back to work March 3, and put more items in her purse. When police questioned her about the theft she said she was having surgery and needed something to wear.
2 Tackle theft no fish tale. A man came home from fishing March 2 and hung his gear up to dry in his garage in the 7700 block of Elmwood Drive, Roxborough Park. He went into the garage the next evening and an estimated $1,780 worth of his gear, including boots and tackle, had been stolen.
3 Truck plucked from driveway. A man living in the 8400 block of North Pinewood Drive, Castle Pines, was using his truck to haul concrete while working on his fence around midday March 2. He left it at the end of his 200-foot driveway when he went inside; when he came back, it was gone.
4 Trouble with the in-laws. A man parked his in-laws’ car in front of his home in the 9000 block of Bear Mountain Drive, Highlands Ranch, on March 3. He left the passenger door unlocked and when he got back in later that day he saw it had been rifled through and the garage door opener for their home was missing.
5 Doctor’s orders. Police are looking for a suspect that tried to get prescription medication from a drug store in the 11100 block of Twenty Mile Road, Parker, using a forged prescription pad.
