Depending on how obsessive you are about your niche buzz bands, that’s not necessarily a head-turning collaboration.

But as Whitney, the band has turned in one of the memorable debut rock singles in recent memory. Sure, the music video for “No Woman” is one step away from a trendy men’s fashion commercial, but the song itself has the beautiful melancholy of a summer drive through your ex-girlfriend’s neighborhood.

Today, the band detailed their debut album. It’s called “Light Upon The Lake,” and it’s out June 3 via Secretly Canadian.

The band also shared another new single from the album called “Golden Days.” Like “No Woman,” it pings with fleeting nostalgic warmth.
