Just over a week before its scheduled date of April 2-3, Colorado’s inaugural has been postponed.
The event would have brought an impressive roster of 13 DJs to Winter Park Resort, including Justin Bieber collaborator and .
A release from the festival said that the decision was made due to inclement weather, which posed a risk to the pre-production crew’s safety.
According to Steve Hurlbert, Director of PR for Winter Park resorts, word of the postponement came down yesterday in the midst of a 20-inch snow fall in a 48-hour period. “It’s a lot, but it’s not record-setting,” Hurlbert said of the snow. “March is usually our snowiest month.”
Hurlbert said the resort is “definitely looking forward to rescheduling” the event, which according to the release, will be set for sometime during the 2016-17 ski season.
A representative from Minus Zero said fans could expect to learn of a rescheduled date for the festival as early as next week, but that there would likely be a different lineup.
