The Strong National Museum of Play released its list of finalists for the 2016 World Video Game Hall of Fame class on Tuesday.
The inductees will be announced during a ceremony at the museum, located in Rochester, N.Y., at 8:30 a.m. MT May 5. This is the second time The Legend of Zelda, Minecraft, The Orgeon Trail, Pokémon, The Sims, Sonic the Hedgehog and Space Invaders have been nominated. Angry Birds and FIFA were nominated last year, but failed to make the cut.
Six games were in 2015: Doom, Pac-Man, Pong, Super Mario Bros. and Tetris.
