
1 Stealth pepper spray assault. A woman told police two male acquaintances secretly pepper sprayed her pillow March 15 while she went to use the bathroom at her home in the 7400 block of West 84th Way, Arvada. The duo left, and, minutes after lying down, her face and throat began burning and swelling and she threw up repeatedly. Officers issued an arrest warrant for one of the men.
2 Door kicker arrested. Police arrested a man March 12 in the 6200 block of West 78th Avenue in Arvada when he injured his girlfriend’s head after he kicked a door she was standing behind.
3 Brawling for police. An intoxicated man who witnesses said was brawling March 12 with another man in the parking lot of the 12-Volt Tavern, 7514 Grandview Ave., Arvada, repeatedly told officers, “I’m for you guys, I’m not a bad guy.” He was cited for disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and taken to detox.
4 Stolen vehicle recovered. A car reported stolen out of Denver was located March 14 in the 5700 block of Allison Street in Arvada
. A homeowner told police he saw a group of five people removing items from the car the night before. The group smashed one of the vehicle windows and deflated two tires before fleeing in another car.
5 Shoplifter nabbed. A loss-prevention officer at
Home Depot, 5215 Wadsworth Blvd., Arvada, detained a man March 12 after he attempted to walk out of the store without paying for a $129 garage door opener. Police issued the man a trespass notice and shoplifting summons.
