
1 Vicious road rage. During morning drop-off March 17 at Prairie Middle School, 12600 E. Jewell Ave., a woman was assaulted after she hesitated for a few minutes before turning into the school to drop off her daughter. A suspect driving behind her blocked the victim with her own car in the parking lot. She got out of her car., yelled at the victim for not moving fast enough, threw a cup at her and punched in through the car window until another parent went over and stopped the unknown suspect.
2 Family vandalism. Officers responded to the 23500 block of East Roxbury Drive because someone spray-painted a profane command all over a woman’s garage door March 21. The words were found at the victim’s son’s house.
3 Imagined thieves. A woman who lives in the 1900 block of South Xanadu Way called police on March 17 and vividly described how her daughter and one of her friends stole some of her jewelry from under her bed when they were there the day before. The victim’s daughter was found at a supervised shelter in Lakewood, and police confirmed that she hadn’t seen her mother in years.
4 Too fast for security. A loss prevention employee at the Kohl’s at 6584 S. Parker Road saw a boy hide a hat and some shorts in his pants before running away March 18.
5 Golden sunglasses. Someone smashed the passenger window of a woman’s car while it was parked in a garage in the 10700 block of East Kentucky Avenue. The unknown suspects only took the woman’s $400 gold sunglasses March 19.
