Colorado Springs police arrested a student after he allegedly stabbed two classmates near the Harrison High School campus on Monday afternoon, authorities say.
The names of the three students have not been released.
The two injured students did not suffer life-threatening injuries, said Lt. Catherine Buckley, a police spokeswoman. They were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police have also arrested a student who assaulted a police officer on the grounds of the high school in a separate incident at about the same time, Buckley said.
The officer who was assaulted did not require medical attention, she said.
The stabbings happened between the school at 2755 Janitell Road and a McDonald’s restaurant, Buckley said.
Police were called to a possible stabbing at Harrison High School at 12:16 p.m.
They later found the injured students near the school, Buckley said.
The stabbing is under investigation.
