
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Rhode Island marijuana legalization is slated to get some attention when Attorney General Peter Kilmartin hosts a forum on marijuana regulation and policy that will focus on learning from states that have legalized the drug.
Tuesday s forum at Brown University will include speakers from the marijuana industry group the Coalition for Responsible Cannabis Production.

Watch .Representatives from states where marijuana is legal will also speak, including a representative from the city of Denver, another from the Washington attorney general s office and a researcher from the Washington State Institute on Public Policy.
Massachusetts State Senator Jason Lewis, a Democrat who chairs the Massachusetts Special Senate Committee on Marijuana, will also speak.
Democratic Gov. Gina Raimondo told reporters last month she d be open to letting Rhode Island voters decide whether to legalize recreational marijuana. Rhode Island legalized medical marijuana in 2006.
