Police have arrested two men — including one whom they followed to Texas — in connection with a northeast Denver shooting that killed an 18-year-old last month.
The near Bruce Randolph Avenue and Cherry Street. According to a news release from the Denver district attorney’s office, when police responded they found two victims with gunshot wounds inside a car.
Prosecutors allege that Keon Nixon, 24, and Eli Mayfield, 18, knew the victims and were involved in the shooting.
Both men have been charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.

Police found and arrested Nixon last month in Fort Worth. that police were waiting for Nixon and arrested him as he got off a Greyhound bus.
Mayfield was arrested in Denver last week.
Both men are being held without bond.
