on Tuesday announced the installation of three new bike stations, including two that were funded through private entities and stakeholders.
The new Union Station Bus Concourse at Wewatta Pavilion — 17th and Wewatta St — was paid for by the Denver Union Station Project Authority. This station is for commuters traveling to and from the RTD bus facility and anyone who needs to connect with the A Line train to Denver International Airport, which opens later this month.
Another station has been installed at the new development at 30th and Lawrence Street. Enterprise funded the new station as part of its new shared office space development, designed to accommodate companies between one to 100 employees.
The third new station has been installed at 21st Street and Lawrence Street. With this new station, there are now five stations within easy walking distance of Coors Field, said B-cycle spokesman Mark Stevens.
Also, the B-cycle station previously adjacent to the Union Station Light Rail stop was moved to the south end of the plaza, near the base of Millennium Bridge, closer to the intersection of 16th and Chestnut Street.
