The city of Denver has postponed the closure of Mississippi Avenue from Santa Fe Drive to South Broadway.
Officials said Friday morning that the section of road would be closed starting Monday for the next few weeks for waterline installation and paving work. But later in the day, they said the work has been postponed and will be rescheduled.
The street had been expected to be closed through April 28.
The work is part of Denver Public Works’ South Broadway Reconstruction Project, which will improve the roadway surface and enhance mobility for pedestrians and people on bikes.
