The Colorado State Patrol is investigating an accident in which a Jeep struck a 49-year-old woman late Thursday night on Interstate 76.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was taken to Denver Health Medical Center with minor injuries.
The driver remained on scene. It’s unclear whether any citations were issued, according to Trooper Nate Lewis, CSP spokesman.
The crash happened at 10:18 p.m. on eastbound I-76 near U.S. 85 in Adams County.
Lewis said he does not know why the woman was on the highway at the time of the collision.
The case remains under investigation.
