A seven-car crash that occurred Friday morning has obstructed traffic at the intersection of Parker Road and Peoria Street in Aurora.
Officials said alcohol was involved in the accident on the part of the at-fault driver, who was transported to a hospital. Officials also said five people were treated for minor injuries on the scene.
The Aurora Police Department first tweeted about the accident around 9 a.m. Crews have closed the southbound Interstate 225 off-ramp to Parker Road.
Officials said delays in the area are likely and advised drivers to pursue alternate routes.
