In response to recent gun violence, Colorado Springs community organizers are planning a Sunday silent walk that will begin blocks away from the start of a Halloween bloody rampage.

The silent walk, which is being put together by the group Common Space Collective, will take place in the Mid Shooks Run neighborhood. The walk will take the route that 33-year-old Noah Harpham took . He was killed by police during a shootout at a busy intersection. Following the silent walk, Common Space Collective will conduct a listening workshop on the issue of gun violence.

The event is being held just days before the April 20 anniversary of the massacre at Columbine High School. Those participating in the walk will gather at the Kiowa and El Paso streets entrance to the Shooks Run Trail at 2 p.m.

From there, the walk will proceed up Kiowa Street, across Prospect Street, and down Platte Avenue. The walk will end with a listening workshop at First Congregational Church, 20 East Saint Vrain St.
