Arapahoe County is looking for new county judges.
The 18th Judicial District nominating commission plans to meet May 16 to interview and select nominees for county judge. Applicants must have been able to practice law in Colorado for at least five years to be considered for the “provisional” two-year term, which comes with a salary of $152,466.
The candidates selected by the commission will be submitted for possible appointment by the governor.
Applications are available at the Arapahoe County Justice Center in Centennial. Vacancies for county judge will be created by the July 1 retirements of Judge Dana E. Murray and Judge Christine Chauche.
