1 Home defense. Two women were cited for disorderly conduct March 28 after throwing punches over who was allowed to watch a home in the 11900 block of West 62nd Place in Arvada while the owners were away. One of the women said she had permission to stay at the empty house. The other woman, a neighbor, said she was asked by the owners to make sure no one entered the home.

2 Bait-and-switch fails. A woman was cited for theft and possessing a stolen identification card March 25 after she was caught trying to return a stolen heater to Home Depot, 5215 Wadsworth Blvd. in Arvada, using someone else’s ID card.

3 Interrupted sleep. A woman told police her ex-boyfriend arrived intoxicated to their home in the 5900 block of Pierce Street in Arvada on March 24 and ripped off the blanket and shorts she was wearing while sleeping. She yelled at him to stop, and police arrested the man on domestic violence and criminal mischief charges.

4 Protection order violated. Police responding to a minor argument between a man and his dad March 30 in the 6300 block of Parfet Street in Arvada arrested the man when his ex-wife pulled up to give him a ride. A background check revealed the woman had a temporary restraining order against the man.

5 Drugs seized. Officers chased down and arrested a passenger who jumped out of a vehicle and ran during a traffic stop March 24 near the 5600 block of Wadsworth Boulevard in Arvada. The man admitted that drugs and drug paraphernalia found in the back seat were his.
