1 Unsafe argument. A woman was arrested March 29 in the parking lot of Safeway, 27152 Main St., Conifer, for assaulting her husband. She admitted to purposelly scratching him during an argument when she grabbed their car keys from around his neck and then ran, screaming, to their vehicle. She then fled, but returned when police were called.
2 Motor homes damaged. Two motor homes were reported damaged March 27 by suspects who broke into Camping World, 16000 W. Colfax Ave., Golden. The victims reported about $1,100 in damage to the vehicles’ windows and were not sure exactly when the break-ins happened.
3 Backpack, items stolen. An employee at Grappa Mediterranean Bistro, 1027 Washington Ave., Golden, reported the theft of his backpack from the restaurant March 27. The employee suspected a man who was hired to wash the restaurant’s windows and disappeared the same time as the backpack. Police located the suspect at a bar nearby. He denied stealing the backpack and was released. Police found the backpack, missing some contents, at the bottom of stairs at 1111 Washington Ave.
4 Witnesses hear car window smash. Two men reported March 27 that they heard a car window being smashed and saw suspects flee the area of the damaged car in the 700 block of Illinois Street, Golden. A third person was seen driving a car the suspects at one point entered, but the witnesses believed the car sped off, leaving the suspects behind.
