2014 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival - Day 3

By: Ryan Murphy

If you weren’t already excited, July’s lineup has just been reinforced with a generous dose of Colorado music.

The inaugural three-day camping festival in Fraser Valley, Colo. near Winter Park will be headlined by Los Angeles folk-pop eccentrics Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Grammy Award-winner Kid Cudi, new wave legends Blondie and 90s alternative radio staple Cake.

Now, to fill out the undercard, event management group Team Player Productions has called on a host of Denver-based music acts to warm up the 35,000 expected attendees. The additions include a number of prominent KTCL finalists as well as a handful of groups likely to satisfy the banjo and mandolin crowd.

Check out the list of newly added local acts:

  • AMZY
  • Drunken Hearts
  • Foxfield Four
  • Gasoline Lollipops
  • Gipsy Moon
  • Kayla Marque
  • Medic
  • Modern Suspects
  • One Flew West
  • P O P F I L T E R
  • Redlands
  • Rumours Follow
  • SkyLaw

On top of the significant local music representation, Divide Music Festival also aims to deliver a uniquely Colorado-centric lifestyle experience. As we in March, organizers will be offering mountain biking tours, trail running and daily yoga for those in need of a chakra realignment between sets.

Daily passes are on sale now as well as a discounted three-day pass while supplies last. Head to for the latest on the entire music lineup as well as information on camping and parking.

Get on it, Blondie fans. This festival may be your best chance to know if a “” survives at altitude.
